Clear answers to the questions we hear most often. If you can't find what you're looking for, just get in touch.
Construction on a custom home typically takes 8–12 months from the day we break ground. If you include feasibility, design and approvals, the full process from first meeting to handover is usually 12–18 months.
Duplex and co-living builds are generally faster — around 6–12 months for construction. The exact timeline depends on your site, design complexity, and which approval path you take. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your free feasibility session.
Every project is different — costs depend on your site, design, inclusions, and approval path. We don't publish a set price per square metre because doing so would give you a number that doesn't reflect your actual project.
The best way to get honest numbers is to book a free feasibility session. We'll look at your site and give you real cost guidance based on your specific situation — before you commit to anything.
A feasibility assessment is a free session where we look at your site, your goals, and your budget. We'll tell you what the site can support, what type of development makes sense, and whether the numbers stack up.
It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. The goal is to give you real clarity before you spend a dollar on plans, applications, or anything else.
A CDC (Complying Development Certificate) is a faster approval path — usually 4–6 weeks — for projects that meet standard development codes. It doesn't go through council.
A DA (Development Application) goes through your local council and can take several months, depending on the project complexity and council workload. We recommend the right path based on your site and project early in the process, so you're not stuck in unnecessary delays.
You'll get weekly written updates, daily site records through Wunderbuild, and live camera access to your build. You also have a dedicated supervisor available for calls and regular site meetings throughout construction.
If something changes — cost, timeline, or scope — you hear about it early. Not after it becomes a problem.
Wunderbuild is the project management software we use to track your build. It gives you daily records of what was completed on site — including photos — so you always have visibility of progress without needing to be there every day.
It's also how we track costs and tasks internally, which is part of how we keep projects on budget and on schedule.
The No Surprises Build Guarantee is our commitment to four things: budget transparency (all costs visible through Wunderbuild, variations communicated early), realistic timelines (honest from day one, with early notice if anything shifts), quality (no stage progresses without checks, failed work fixed at no cost), and same-day communication (one direct point of contact, every day).
It also includes a 4-year workmanship warranty and 12 months of aftercare support after handover.
Our main area is Sydney and Greater NSW. If you're outside this region, get in touch and we'll let you know whether your project is something we can help with.
Yes. We build custom homes for families and investment projects — including duplexes and group homes — for property investors. The process is the same for both: clear costs, honest timelines, and dedicated supervision from start to handover.
For investors, we think beyond the build and consider how the property performs over time — not just how it looks at handover.
You get 12 months of aftercare support and a 4-year workmanship warranty. If anything needs attention after handover — a defect, a follow-up item, or something that wasn't quite right — we come back and sort it.
We don't disappear once the keys are handed over.
The fastest way to get answers specific to your project. We'll look at your site and give you honest, practical advice at no cost and no obligation.
